Help us to catch the biggest crocodile

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng called on the people of Sibu to vote for Wong Ho Leng so that their voice will be heard in Parliament.

“Once elected, Wong will not be like any other BN Members of Parliament, who are scared of their UMNO masters. In Sarawak, he will not be scared of Abdul Taib Mahmud.

“Look at all SUPP MPs and DUN members, they are all scared of Taib Mahmud,”
said Lim who is DAP secretary general in a political rally in Sibu last night (13 May).

Lim also told the voters that Sarawak is the richest State in the country, and one third of the Malaysia’s incomes come from Sarawak’s oil and gas.

Sarawak is also rich in timber and has plenty of land, and yet the people of this State especially the Ibans are the poorest in the country.

“Why are the people are poor, because there are many big crocodiles in Sarawak?

“Please help us to catch the biggest crocodile in the State by voting Wong Ho Leng into Parliament,”
he said. – The Broken Shield

These hopeless YBs and MPs are not only scared of taib but they also depend on him to live and be given handouts. such a shameless can still ask for the people to vote for them. They can't even look at taib face, what more to ask for development.

Look at those dayak YBs and MPs. They are just too scared to ask for anything. When their constituencies ask for something, they will just disappeared for ages and when confronted, they just bluff and said no money from the federal gov't. They just push it to federal gov't.

So I too say the people are just too blind to see when they want to head but still they must wake up. I ask them to kindly think and vote with their heart and mind. Change is what we must demand. When we vote DAP and if they are not good , then we too must kick them out. At least we give them a chance. How can we vote for someone who have been sleeping for 43 years and still ask us to vote for him.Kick him out and get a new guy. Tried him and if he can't perform, kick in the ass and vote for another one. I don't believe we can't find a good one.

Not only SUPP MPs and ADUNs scared of Taib Mahmud, but PBB,SPDP and PRS MPs and ADUNs are also scared of him.

Why, very simple. Fear to lose positions. Fear of not being re-nominated as candidates in next election, thus fear to lose YB.

So, Iban voters in Sibu, have no fear by voting DAP`s candidate. Do not influence by the government projects announced by BN ministers. These projects are over due to you as taxpayers.

This is a re-post from an article in Malaysiakini which explains very well how Malaysians in general view UMNO and PAS.

M'sians - East or West - deserve better than Umno
Freedom-Of-Conscience

It was reported that DAP leaders met church leaders in Sibu to explain the Allah, and other religious issues. I sense many Christians in Malaysia want to contribute to the nation's well-being but are not completely certain whom to trust. I will therefore summarise the salient features of ethnic politics in West Malaysia, and let the East Malaysians make their own inferences.

I will focus on the Umno leadership because Umno is still the most powerful force in Malaysia. Umno leaders are addicted to the wealth and power that is derived from corruption and wholesale abuse of power. Umno has deliberately weakened the state to become all-powerful. West Malaysians understand there is nothing Umno elites will not do to protect their personal wealth and power including misusing race and religion to further individual worldly ambitions.

Perkasa came up with some nonsense about the 'blue ocean strategy' but Umno has already bankrupted the country with decades of a 'white elephant strategy'. Basically Umno leaders approve one useless expensive project after another, inflate it by 100 - 1,000 percent, repeatedly subcontract it, and take their lucrative cuts along the way. In this way, Mahathir wasted US$100 billion of your tax money

To be more accurate, Mahathir may have made his own family, friends, and Umno cronies obscenely rich by taking it all from you. Essentially, they got their cut, and you funded it, you bailed them out, and you got robbed. Instead of state resources in Malaysia being used to fund the poor and needy, it is the poor and needy, the ordinary citizens who fund the rich and powerful in Umno.

This has been labelled the malaysian NEP, Umno's white elephant strategy, Perkasa's 'blue ocean strategy', Third World African kleptocracy, Umnoputra's trickle-up economic strategy but essentially if you are a taxpayer, no matter your race or religion, then truly, you are being exploited by Umno.

Basically, Umno leaders have turned getting robbed in broad daylight into a patriotic duty, where they will rob you but then accuse you of being ungrateful, and a pendatang, or a pengkhianat if you finally decide to vote Pakatan instead.

You only have to look at Marcos in the Philippines, and the generals in Burma to know where Malaysia under Umnoputra leadership is heading. The bottom line is Umno addicts cannot reform. They can only be kicked out by determined voters. The 'Allah' issue was a side issue that had nothing to do with Christians trying to confuse Muslims.

It had everything to do with Umno feeling threatened by PAS and PKR Malays. If Umno cannot make itself look pious by accusing the non-malays of threatening Islam, if Umno fails to demonise non-Malays and non-Muslims, and if Umno cannot offer meaningful reform like clean government, then PAS will win all the Malay votes. Courageous moral leaders like Tok Guru Nik Aziz of PAS have said racism has no part in Islam and have repeatedly backed democracy, clean governance, and fairness for all.

If these are the spiritual and governing principles by which PAS and Pakatan stand by, then it is only a short matter of time before every informed citizen - every Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucianist citizen who understands the truth about Umno politics - will vote for Pakatan.

The only other thing that Umno has left to offer are the racial quotas that some Malays feel they would need to exist. This erroneous belief persists courtesy of the massive Umno-funded mass media brainwashing outlets like Ugutan Malaysia, Biro Tata Negara, and RTM.

Unlike Umno, PASrefuses to demonise nor scapegoat anyone to win votes. I am not qualified in any way to tell East Malaysians whom to vote. But surely Malaysians deserve better than Umno.

Aram nurun sampal kitai Iban,

Nadai salah nerima projek pemansang di beri Barisan,
Tang undi meh Richard Wong,

Betesau meh ngagai bala kaban,
Lalu bai sida enggau kita,
Anang takut nerima duit Barisan,
Duit nya endang sigi enggi kita.

For Chinse voters, if Iban can throw a support to DAP`s candidate, there is no reason why you cannot vote for Richard Wong.

This message is especially for all Christians who will be voting this Sunday. Regardless of whether you had received any “vote buying” money, inducement, promise of more money if you vote for a candidate, and all promises made by both BN amd Pakatan, invite Jesus into your heart to guide you to make a wise decision. Seek guidance to choose the right party to address all the current socio-economic and political mess in our country.

Sarwakians must not be fooled by Taib Mahmud’s announcement of lower or “lowest” premium for property renewal. Make no mistake, Taib Mahmud is the “government of Sarawak” and he thinks Sarawak belongs to him too. Unless and until anything he says are made into law and gazetted it is just Taib Mahmud farting! Will Sarawakians benefit from a lower premium( if ever it isgazetted and stated in the Sarawak land Code) if there is no guarantee that their properties will be renewed upon expiry?

Taib Mahmud has long identified the urban land which he wanted to take by changing the housing ministry to that of ministry of housing and urban renewal and given special power to enter and acquire any properties or land. This minstry shall have the right to take back any residentail or commercial properties which the government of and for Taib Mahmud deemed to be in a deplorable condition and or not befitting an urban environment. With a lower land renewal premium it can only mean the market values of the Sarawak properties acquired by the government of and for Taib Mahmud shall be much lower and compensation shall be much lower accordingly.

There is nothing that benefit the people a litlle that will not benefit Taib Mahmud tremendously. There is nothing that Taib Mahmud’s empire cannot supply to the proposed SCORE project , Aluminium Smelting project, Hydro-electric dams projects, and all major infrastructures to be implemented in Sarawak. All these did not happen by accident or chance. All thee have been planned with meticulous details with absolute power that he now enjoys. Whenever taib mahmud gives sarawakian an additional of 1% benefits he shall take back another 99% benefits for himself.

Who is the real and main owner of Sarawak Energy Bhd, Assar Senari Port, Assar Senari Chemicals, Mukah coal power plant, Sejinkat power plant. Any layman will think it is 100% owned by the government but one need not complete primary six to know that the major shareholders of all these so-called government agencies are owned by Taib’s family and cronies. These are Taib Mahmud’s strategic companies controlling all the strategic resources in Sarawak.

Malaysians in Sarawak must not be swayed by his announcement on lower land premium. Taib Mahmud has done all his evil calculations long ago on how to rob Sarawak and Sarawakians . We must stand our ground and exercise our right by voting out this evil and corrupted regime in Sarawak and Malaysia. By denying UMNO controlled BN every single parliamentary seat in Sarawak and the rest of Malaysians doing their part in all other states we shall defeat this evil and corrupted regime. Sibu parliamentary seat is just as important as all other parliamentary seats for us to help ourselves to defeat UMNO controlled BN.

Vote Pakatan-DAP to save Malaysia and Sarawak.

A French legal team found 3 important elements in this case. Two of it
which clearly states that there was a commission being paid.

"Quote"
1) This Company who transacted the deal between France/Malaysia are only a
few months old. No experience in selling Submarine but was paid 140Mil Euro
2) One of the Company Director is our current PM's wife, Datin Rosmah
Mansor! "Unquote" So? What have you got to say now?? This is CHEATING THE RAKYAT!!!

The Dayaks (including other indigenous groups) , Malays and Melanaus must not vote for just a few hundred ringgit come every election when they had never benefited from the NEP which was supposed to benefit them for the last 47 years. They must vote for long term socio-economic progress and real benefits that as Malaysians should be benefiting.

It is a real shame that these group of people in the Sibu parliamentary constituency are still bordering along the poverty line although they are living within 100 km of Sibu town. Look at the condition of their homes. Most of the home sizes are determined by the availability or lack of building materials. Some are still using generator sets to generate limited electricity. Many are still not connected with treated water. The RM600.00 bribe given by Taib Mahmud(which the MACC and EC will not act upon) to each “door” in the longhouses will only temporary drowse their deep rooted anger. It was indeed a great insult for the NEP was supposed to eradicate their poverty and set the pace and environment for self sustainable progress especially in agriculture and farming.

There is now a great visible sign of awakening among the rural poor. We are witnessing the beginning of the end of Taib Mahmud’s empire in this Sibu buy election and his politics of perpetually impoverish and “enslave” the rural poor is coming to an end soon.

The Dayaks who are predominantly Christians are beginning to know their right to freedom of worship and are encouraged by all concerned Malaysians to fight for their dignity and are responding.

The Sibu Buy Election is definitely the beginning of the end to Taib Mahmud’s empire and an end to UMNO hegemony .

Vote for Change . Vote Pakatan-DAP to save Malaysia.

Mata Kuching said...

For the first time in Sarawak election history the two most corrupted leaders in the country had to worked overtime like their corrupted counterparts in some Latin American countries, fighting for their own political and economic survival during the Sibu Buy Election campaign.

But people’s power with the aid of divine intervention on Allah row, will prevail as Malaysians in this Borneo state are increasingly fed up with the highly corrupted and authoritarian regime led by none other than Najib Razak as PM of Malaysia and Taib Mahmud as CM of Sarawak. The defeat of UMNO controlled BN will trigger a strong Tsunami in the coming state election that will sweep violently across Sabah and to the rest of Malaysia in the next General Election. History will be made in Sibu.

I have been hoping that DAP will win the by-election. I hope all the Dayaks support the opposition, dont care who.

Mata Kuching said...

No more to say. All that I wanted to say had been said. Sibu voters deserved this victory and they had achieved this very hard fought victory for all Malaysians who believe that Change is imminent.

We shall not be distracted by the betrayers whom we voted in the last GE quitting PKR. It will only strengthen our resolves to change the authoritarian and highly corrupted regime of UMNO controlled BN.

Thanks to all Malaysians who have contributed in whatever ways long before the battle began in Sibu. It shows that despite only armed with bows and arrows, Pakatan backed by people’s power, can defeat BN which was armed with all the sophisticated “weapons".

Malaysians can now sing loudly…And now, the end is here.. And so I face the final curtain..My friend we’ll say it clear..We’ll state our case of which we’re certain…….WE DID IT OUR WAY.

Hidup Malaysia!

Banting said...

My simple mathematics solved it. If 7o per cent Chinese voters and 30 per cent bumiputera voters voted for DAP, it would win this Sibu by-election.

Urban voters are more intelligent to make decision, unlike rural voters who seem to be influenced and tempted by `instant noddles` and `projek pemansang`.Similarly, village chief who can easily be swayed by sweet promises and instant cash.

Joy! in the eye of a rakyat's victory.

Sibu reflected what is possible... Rakyat taking back the state/country and choosing who they want, and exercising their power to kick out the dissented.

i think you will find its due to rural voters not having access to alternative media like internet and this esteemed blog! they can only be fed the crap that comes out of KTS(which is owned by CM family so is BN) owned Borneo Post , BN owned RTM, BN owned radio stations...getting the picture? one alternative to help rural voters NOW is to have regular meetings from opposition people armed with laptops to go and show the rural folk the alternative message, dont ram it down their throats, let them make up their own mind, but start now, that way when it comes to state election you have at least planted the seed of doubt in the rural voters mind.

of course it doesnt help with having an unequal system of education in the state, the vast majority of Iban, Penan and other ethnic indiginous tribes have had virtually zero opportunity for higher education and access to good paying jobs due to being marginalised by the BN government for so many years and the so called Iban leaders like Jabu and Masing, Mawan not standing up and shouting from the rooftops to stop this inequality, instead the CM keeps them quiet with titles and handouts like SCORE to keep them happy.

I hope after the next State Election that Baru Bian as the new CM first orders the CM's arrest and second halts the SCORE project to stop more dayaks losing their lands and longhouses. if anyone from DAP/PKR reads this, it will be great if you can confirm or deny what you will do with the SCORE projects.
thanks

I beg to differ with all political analysts that rural voters still stick to BN in future voting trend. Firstly, Dayaks living in rural Sarawak are living in a small group of usually less than 120 doors. They like to live “peacefully” among themselves and have been indoctrinated for the last 47 years that Oppostion are trouble makers and will cause their longhouse folks to quarrel among themselves.

The indoctrination had worked and the fear are still there that voting against the government of the day will cause unwanted bickering and quarrel in their longhouses which they wanted to avoid.Of course they had been threatened into believing that future grants and projects would be withdrawn if BN candidate lost.

So rural voters, while voting for Barisan National( BN), did not vote against Pakatan Rakyat(PR) either in the true sense because there was never another government in the last 47 years!

Slowly but surely they will be enlightened when they are aware that the two party system of governance has become a reality in our country.
