The role of YBs

Like Members of Parliament, Council Negeri (Dewan Undangan Negeri) Members represent the concerns of the people of their constituencies in the State Legislative Assembly and to help solve problems of their constituents on a variety of matters – from checking on individual problems with government departments to providing information on government development programmes and policies. They also maintain a high profile in their ridings (constituencies) and take part in local events and official functions.

While the cabinet and government make policies, laws, and etc, the elected representatives can help influence legislation through debates in the State Assembly and during party meetings.

In short, our YBs are our “voices” and our “bridges” to the government.

But how many of our YBs are doing just that? Instead, many of them are trying to find businesses to enrich themselves and are only seen during election times.

On this score, I would like to mention one YB who has been helping the people who voted for him. I particularly refer to YB Abdul Karim Hamzah, the Member for Asajaya.

When he heard that more than 3,000 hectares of NCR land belonging to Ibans in his constituency have been allegedly leased to Chief Minister’s sister by the Second Minister of Planning and Resource Management, he went to see the Chief Minister.

He requested the Chief Minister to return the land to the land owners as they are his strong supporters who have ensured his victory in the previous elections.

The Chief Minister claimed that he did not know about it and agreed that the land be returned to the land owners starting from next February or March 2010.

This story was told by the YB himself during the Xmas and New Year visit to a friend of The Broken Shied.

This is the type of YBs that we need, the YBs who have courage to speak on behalf of their constituents and the ones who are not scared of losing their “periok nasi”.

But what are our Dayak YBs (and Dayak Ministers too) doing as many of NCR land in their constituencies have also been forcedly leased to big companies for the planting of oil palm, which also destroyed their fruit trees and cash crops and demolished their longhouses? – The Broken Shield

Isn't it obvious? Our dayak Ybs are gut-less, have their tails between their legs and let loose their pee in their pants when they come within sight of the CM. Their role is simply "ya tuan/datuk" whenever they dare open their mouths.
The problem with us short sighted dayaks are, come each election we vote for the same incompetent morons! Maybe irrespective of political parties we should vote for Ybs who champion and fight for what is rightfully ours. The bottom line is, since our dayak Ybs have disowned their NCR lands, who amongst them care for our NCR lands? Come next election, we need to elect Ybs in the likes of the Asajaya member who takes the bull by the horns!
Sad to say, deafening silence from so called dayak "christian" Ybs in the controversial "allah" issues. Have they too disown their christian "allah" and christian constituents who voted them in? Maybe for political expediency and convenience they have reconverted their faith to paganism.

May be it could be a " designed drama " or ' sandiwara " for their political agenda.

I read about this last month whereby a friend of mine showed me the letter from the Land Survey Enforcement Officer to all the NCR landowners in Samarahan Division affected by the project.
If what you said is true, same with you I shall salute the said YB....But I am not convince with Taib sincereity in return the NCR lands to their owners. Or if it is true, could it be just temporary as the state election is just around the corner. Iban/dayak should not trust this Tok Uban 100%. Awang Tengah has clearly said that all the NCR lands are state land>

I like the way the stories goes and the the rakyat get their land back.

But there was no action taken against these culprits for stealing the land.

Ok lah, maybe CM dont want more trouble. But once you have stole something from others then you must be judge and face the facts that you are acted as a thief.

Simple case and smooth solution but it does not mean that you are good. Good drama and perhaps someone willing to sponsor and make it as short politic film.

Who knows it could win an award ?

Our dayaks YBs (Wild Bees) are brain-drained. Their head are full of maggots. Some claimed to have PHD which actually mean Permanent Head Damage. The damaged so severe that it's beyond cure till death befalls them.

to be cont......

There are two heads in our body.
1. One head located at uppermost body where our brain is rightly located.

2. The dick head.

Most if not of all our dayaks wild bees (YBs) used much of the dick head.

YB Dayaks still in power because the longhouses` folks voted for them after being offered `cap langkau`. Is Jabu, Masing or Mawan dares to contest Voon Lee Shan in Batu Lintang? This is to proof what I have said above.

Does that mean there are many more such secret dealings regarding NCR land been leased to well connected individuals by the Minister of Planning and Resourses without the CM knowing about them? If the CM claims he doesn't know about the purported 3,000 hectares in Asajaya been leased to his sisster by the Minister of Planning and Resourses, is he also infering that such policy decision does not require his approval? BULLSHITS !!
