Malaysia at the crossroads

There is so much talk of an early election. About 7 million young voters will be eligible to vote come the 13GE.
We all know that once in a few years we are given the opportunity to vote. Why vote? It has no effect on the outcome.

One vote alone may not count but many votes together become a voice to be reckoned with. Let your voice be heard.

This election, more so than others is a vital election because we are at a cross roads. If we get it right we will prosper; if we get it wrong, we will suffer as we have seen in our neighboring countries.
To help you decide please ponder these issues:

Do you think that you have been treated fairly and equally as provided under the Federal Constitution?

Do you think our politicians in power are corrupt?

Do you think our civil service is corrupt?

Do you think the civil servants are incompetent?

Do you think the people in power sets themselves above the law and rule by law instead of rule of law?

Do you think our leadership has lost its way?

Do you think we are getting more & more divided by race, sectarian interests & religion?

Do you think we have a questionable justice system?

Do you think that they are wasting our wealth?

Do you think our children will suffer more?

Do you want to see a momentous change for you and the rest of the citizens?

If you say yes to 3 or more of these issues, don't you think we need change? YOU CAN MAKE CHANGE HAPPEN!!! Change we can and we must.
Just send this to 10 other relatives or friends and ask them to do the same to 10 of their friends and so on.

By so doing we are enlisting the power of multilevel marketing. Yes the math works and it is awesome.

By the 7th level this message would reach 1,000,000 people. Yes we can make our vote count! Better believe it!! We owe it to ourselves and to our children and to their children.

Internet is a wonderful instrument to bring change and fight authoritarianism peacefully and we must use it for the good of all.

Yes we can bring change, and we must do it as we owe that to our children and grandchildren.

Albert Einstein's statement "The world is a dangerous place. Not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it" is very true and we must not let the evil people rule the country.
The biggest traitors to the nation are those who keep sitting on the fence but grab all the benefits of the efforts of others.
Let us show that 'Malaysia Boleh' applies not only to bad things but good as well. It is in our hands to make it happen for ours and our children's future.

May the force of wisdom be with you.

Thank you

Sure, since the 308 victorious win by PR, we have been more reassure of another resounding victory on the horizon. But this can only be sustain if each and everyone of us play a minor role to realise this dream, a dream that we all would like to see in the course of our life, a dream that one day our children will be free from the leash that this gov't have it on us.
Yes, all effort must be made to convince the rural folks that a change is what we all needed. this corrupted gov't that stole from us, sidelining us,suppress us MUST be rid for good. We MUST all stand up and be counted, for we MUST not let this golden opportunity side through our fingers.
The york on our back MUST be rid once and for all. They have rob us for 43 long years. Now is the time we all MUST think as one, that our forefathers been marginalized, that our land have stolen, that our trees have been cut down and profited by those thieves.
Yes, we can.A time for change is looming on the horizon. It's our in the making.
The march to Putrajaya MUST not be hindered. This call MUST heard loud and clear.

Yes, translate the issues into the native language of every locality, iban in the Sri Aman areas etc., and have it pasted on every longhouse "ruai" for all to read and see. For those who don't read, have it discuss on the "berandau" sessions at least once a week. We challenge those who can read to speak out.
Start now! Way to go, This is a new awakening. Change is no longer a dream. In unity we conquer!

Association Seeking New Chinese Name For Sibu Town

SIBU, Aug 7 (BERNAMA) -- The United Chinese Association (UCA) here is embarking on a quest to get a new Chinese name for Sibu town, said association president Datuk Lau Nai Hoh.

He said the association would organise a competition for that purpose, adding that the current English name would remain.

"Sibu is known as 'Shi Wu' in Chinese. However, 'Wu' means witch in Chinese. This is quite inappropriate.

"Attractive prizes await those coming up with the best name," he said at a dinner here last night, to celebrate the success of the 9th Borneo Cultural Festival (BCF) recently.

Lau said the issue pertaining to a new name for Sibu was discussed with state environment and public health minister Datuk Sri Wong Soon Koh and other leaders.

He noted that Sibu was often confused with the Philippines city of Cebu.

On the cultural festival, he said its next segment would be promoted in China via a tourist guide from there, who had witnessed the festival last month.

Dear all... When is the next state election? For those who have reliable insider information, please keep the people updated as many of those eligible voters are working in a far away land. By doing so can help them to make proper arrangement to come back for the election.

KUCHING: An impending three-cornered fight among Barisan Nasional (BN), Parti Cinta Malaysia (PCM) and Sarawak Pakatan Rakyat in the state constituency of Ngemeh in Kanowit is likely to cripple the ruling party's bid to wrest the seat.

BN partner Party Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) has been tasked with taking the seat from PCM’s Gabriel Adit, who won it in 2006 as an independent

PR logistics should be already in place in the heartland of Sarawak where many rural voters needed transport to travel to polling stations.

PR needs a very effective and efficient and well coordinated team to take charge of following:

a) Communications

b) Logistics

c) Keeping record and tracking existing and new voters

d) Doors to doors and houses to houses campaign teams

e) Election and Polling agents

f) Election Watch volunteers

g) IT team

winning the state election is one thing, but running the state in the right direction is another major problem to think about. so, while you guys are busy campaigning, don't forget to have your own shadow cabinet, just in case...

If ` Sibu ` is inappropriate name for UCA, then change it to `LAKIA`.
